He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gayle and Merle Gayle; and his sisters, Dorothy Gayle Eisenman, Mary Gayle Bell and Julia Gayle Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stoker Gayle; his children, Jessica Anne Smith (Neal), Emily Claire Chisholm (Ryan) and Matthew Thomas Gayle (Kari); and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Olivia Ramos, Cole William Gayle and Elle Kate Gayle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
