It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julius Phillip Lucas (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Warren Lucas and Maddie Lindsay Lucas; and his siblings, William Lee Lindsay, Rosa Lee Robinson and Juanita Phillips.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Lucas of Lake Charles, LA; his children, Judith Lucas-Johnson (Arthur) of Richmond, VA, Bonnie Lucas of Charlotte, NC, Julius Phillip Lucas, Jr. (Jackie) of Greensboro, NC, Wesley Frank of Lake Charles, LA, Kayla Brown of Lake Charles, LA and Myra Fontenot (Austin) of Lake Charles, LA; and his sisters, Laura George of Florida and Stella Phillips of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the King's Funeral Home (1611 Gerstner Memorial Dr, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
