With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kristi Fontenot of Lake Charles, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Kristi left this world on October 17, 2025 at the age of 64, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Jinks and Karen Jinks; her parents-in-law, Gussie and Lucy Fontenot; and her sister Shawn Parks.
She is survived by: her husband Silton Ray Fontenot; her children, Dustin Fontenot (Lindsey) and Laci Fontenot (Daniel); her grandchildren, Hayden, Kennedy, Olivia and Carter Ray Fontenot; and her siblings, Keith Jinks (Donna) and Nicole Duplechin (Scott). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Lake Charles (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to those who cared for Kristi with compassion and devotion, Kayla Bahm with Aging with Grace; Mary Mouton; Caroline Citizen with Leeann Caregiving Services; and the care team from Brighton Bridge, including Melinda Keller and all the wonderful CNAs In honor of Kristi's memory and her fighting spirit, the family requests that donations be made to the local Alzheimer's Association Chapter.
