He is survived by: his children, Vernon Emerson, Darlene of Center, Texas Shelby Emerson (Faith) of Stanley, Aletha Samson, Mike Stephens of Joaquin and Texas Shaunda Byrd (Dusten) of Joaquin; his grandchild Skylar Harvey Mason Byrd; his brother Johnnie L. Emerson (Ida Mae Numerous); his daughter-in-law Bernice Emerson; his granddaughter Annabella Byrd; and his parents, Dudleigh Wilton Emerson and Lois Clara Smith Emerson. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family A host of friends.
