It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clemmie R. Permenter McCoy (Logansport, Louisiana), who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. C. Permenter and Virgie Wimberly Permenter; and her brother T. W. Permenter (Shirley) of Logansport. She is survived by: her brother David K. Permenter (Brenda) of Grand Cane; her children, Carla M. Spears (Wayne) of Joaquin, TX and Earl McCoy, Jr. (Marsha) of Stanley; her grandchildren, Dea Henry (Kerry) of Henderson, TX, Earl McCoy (Kayla) of Stanley, Ali Chandler (Jason) of Bossier City and Miranda Blount (Dane) of Stanley; her great grandchildren, Bartley Henry (Megan), Nikolas Henry (Callie), Kenzy Castanéda (Juan), Carlton McCoy (Brittany), Jali Stafford (Peyton), Rylie Blount, Jaret Chandler and Cane McCoy; her great great grandchildren, Landry Henry, Leland Henry, Ridley Henry, Lottie Henry, Livie Castanéda, Leonard Henry, Lennon Henry and Valerie Castanéda; and her grandchildren, Dane Blount, Jason Chandler, Carlton McCoy, Jaret Chandler and Cane McCoy.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (14320 US-84, Logansport, LA 71049). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests that any donations be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church or the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, 352 Highway 763, Mansfield, LA 71052.
