He was predeceased by : his parents, John McNeil and Joyce McNeil; and his brother Randall "Randy" McNeil. He is survived by : his wife June Farrugia McNeil; his children, Emily McNeil Emrick (Jerod), Kyle McNeil and Shane Patrick McNeil; his siblings, Cynthia Thomas, David McNeil and Timothy McNeil; and his granddaughter Elsie Anne McNeil.
