It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Tycer Simpson of Loranger, Louisiana, born in Covington, Louisiana, who passed away on June 19, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Josephine Bollinger and Tycer Simpson; his adoptive parents, Richard Simpson and Catherine Simpson; and his son Peter Dupueis.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Dupueis Simpson; his children, Gilbert Simpson (Joy), Paul Simpson (Elaine), Angela Byrd (Jimmy), Linda Barnett (Charles) and Patty Champlin (Clifford); and his grandchildren, Benjamin Simpson, Bethany Reisch, Aaron Simpson, Samuel Simpson, Adam Simpson, Phillip Simpson, Claire McFarland, Tycer McFarland, Gia Whittington, Christopher Champlin and Jeremy Champlin. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
