He is survived by : his children, Dion Stewart (Christopher), Ponchatoula La and James Strong Jr.; his grandchildren, Darwin Strong (Melissa), Amber Knight, DeChris Strong, Kayla Stewart, James Jeffery, LaShonda and Kavonia Strong (Mario); his sister-in-law Margaret Curtis Allen; and his siblings, Velma Eldridge and Host. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren cousins and friends.
