He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Elizabeth (Michael) and Casey (Blakeley); his grandchildren, Anna, Caitlin, Adam, Luke, Ben and Caroline; and his siblings, Cathy, Molly (Tommy) and Jimmy (Sharon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins; and many close, lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anselm Catholic Church (306 St Mary St, Madisonville, LA 70447). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the Cajun Navy Relief in Carey's memory.
