He is survived by: his children, Laura Bourgeois Clease, Michael Bourgeois, Lynn Bourgeois, Lorraine Bourgeois and Mervin Bourgeois Jr. (Clarice); his great grandchildren, Amaya, Layton, Emma, Everitt, Noah, Saylor, Roman, Vivian and Baby McDonald; and his siblings, Sheldon Bourgeois (Cathy), Emelda Bernard, Ella May Freeman and Barbara Landry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
