With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Mae Bordelon of Metairie, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Finnerty and Lola Finnerty; her husband Wilbon Bordelon; her son Robert "Bobby" Bordelon; and her sisters, Mercedes, Beverly, Carol and Blanche Finnerty.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Joseph Bordelon (Kim), Sharon Marie Bordelon, Randy Paul Bordelon (Beth) and Lori Ann Weiss (Erik); her grandchildren, Stephani, Caitlyn, Vivian, Lola, Dustin, Ashlyn and Alyssa; and her great grandchildren, Maddie and Landon.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001).
