He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Aloysius Betz and Theresa Edel Cazes Betz; and his siblings, Dominic Cazes, Jr., Peter Betz, Eleanor Cazes Escude (Noni), Althea Betz Malbrough (Dee), Joyce Betz Miller, June Betz Balderas, Maxine Betz Woodruff and Frances Betz Schlottmann.
He is survived by: his wife Luz; his children, Deborah Betz Hufft (Tim), Edward Betz, Jr. (Eddie), Pamela Betz Daigle (Douglass), Christopher Betz (Stacey) and Kathryn Betz Notter (Patrick); his grandchildren, Timothy Hufft, Jr. (Rebecca), Tyler Hufft (Heather), Mark Emmer, Jonathan Bjornsen (Melissa), Kyle Betz (Haley), Levi Notter (Megan), Justin Notter (Katlyn), Danielle Betz Crowder (Hunter) and Gabrielle Notter; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Austin, Colin Hufft, Gavin Emmer, Phoenix Bjornsen, Kannon, Taysom, Baylen Notter, Fallon Emmer, Piper Bjornsen, Ruby, Elliana Crowder and Violet Vallet. He is also survived by family.
He was a member of the Senior Citizens Organization where he created an assortment of prizes for charity raffles.
