He was predeceased by: his wife Flavia Carbins; his parents, Sylvester Carbins, Jr. and Rosemary Williams Carbins; his siblings, Sylvester Carbins III and Orelia Marie Carbins Degraffenreid; his grandson Ashley Moore, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Georgia Carbins and Stephanie Carbins.
He is survived by: his children, Louis Carbins, Jr. (Hiedi) of Lafayette, Louisiana and Starlet Carbins of Washington State; and his brothers, Edward Thomas (Sarah) of Arlington, Greg Carbins of Morgan City and Gillis Carbins (Jennifer) of New Iberia, Louisiana. He is also survived by two grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (507 Fourth St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
