It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Griffin of Morgan City, Louisiana, born in Berwick, Louisiana, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Geraldine LaGarde Griffin and Johnny Griffin, Sr.; her siblings, Johnny Griffin, Jr., Paula LaGarde and Betty Griffin; her grandparents, Julius LaGarde, Jr. (Julia Mae V.), Ara Mae Strawder-Johnson (Jeffery Johnson, Sr.), Nathan Griffin, Sr. and Lorenza Griffin; and her aunts and uncles, Junius LaGarde, Berwick LaGarde, Antione F. LaGarde, Jeffrey Johnson, Jr., Wardel Johnson, Nathan Griffin, Jr., Joseph Griffin, Frank Griffin, Sr., Mary Ann LaGarde, Maggie Deal-Milton, Mary Nell Johnson-Allen, Clara Mae Jones, Viola Griffin and Coretha LaGarde.
She is survived by : her sister Mona Walker (Charles) of Lafayette, LA; her nephew Nigel I. Visitation will be observed on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA., from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing with the recommendation of signing the registry book, viewing and exiting).
