She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Otis, Sr. and Mary Louise Jupiter; her grandmother Elvira Jupiter Sawyer; and her siblings, Roosevelt Otis, Jr. and Glenda Ann Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband Carlven C. Coleman, Sr. of Morgan City, Louisiana; her children, Eric J. Chapman, Jr. (Belva) of Youngsville, Carlven C. Chapman, Sr. of Morgan City, Louisiana, Brodie D. Chapman of Morgan City, Louisiana and Learita M. Coleman of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and her sisters, Deborah Hawkins (Sam) of Houston and Evangelist Cathy Wilmore (James) of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Siracusaville Recreation Center Annex Building (1110 Grace St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
