With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Lavenia Fontenot of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Davis and Martha Thomas; her husband Preston Fontenot; and her sons, Preston and John.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Fontenot (Sandra), Carolyn Myers (Paul) and Melvin Charles Fontenot; her grandchildren, Kristi Fontenot, Chris, Stevey Myers, Jill, Ryan, John-John, Holly Fontenot and Kristi Sittig; and her great great grandchild Preston Blake Hebert. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
