He was predeceased by: his father Don Churchman; his wife Patsy; his mother Mary Ethridge Churchman; his brother Dave Kyern; his sister-in-law Sheila Achord Churchman; and his nephew Don Kyern Churchman.

He is survived by: his sons, Ryder (Hope) and Patrick (Amelia); his grandchild Brittainey; his great grandchild Declan; his grandchildren, Haden, Cameron, Luke, Gabriel and Mary Hannah; his sister Ludie (Pam Bryant); his niece Kimberly Davis (Stephen); and his close friend Cecilia Smith.
