He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Henry" Carpenter and Ruth Elaine Ates; his sister Edith Marie Brown Roop; his nephew Brian Taft "Quadro" Smith, IV; his great-nephew Abram Smith; and his son-in-law Matthew Sesvold.
He is survived by : his wife Kimberly Colt Carpenter; his children, Trinity Andrew Willett, Kerry Lane Carpenter and Megan Rachelle Sesvold; his grandchildren, Maybri Rowell, Matthew Sesvold, Jr. and Lizabeth Goodwin; and his siblings, Janiece Adkins (Kenny Adkins), Toni Lynn Pokoney (Rick Pokoney), Sarah "Jan" O'Bannon (Bruce O'Bannon), Jackie Lamar Davis (Marie Buxton) and Carolyn Wells (Jeremy Wells).
