He was predeceased by: his parents, Denis "Du Du" Dugas, Sr. and Stella "Te Chu" LeBlanc Dugas; his wife Mary-Bert Thornton Dugas; and his sister Joyce Dugas Broussard. He is survived by: his son Peter Dugas (Jennifer) of Alexandria, VA; his stepchildren, Tim Hance (Elizabeth) of Mandeville and Nancy Hance Fuselier of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Marie Broussard, Kellan Dugas and Tenley Dugas; and his sibling's children, Donna Broussard Angers (Patrick), Simone Broussard Louviere and Kerry Broussard (Marilyn).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Loreauville (117 S Main St, Loreauville, LA 70552). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
