She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Joseph Babineaux and Rita Trahan Babineaux; her husband Jeffery Sonnier; her daughter Angel Sonnier; her sister Wendy Babineaux; her daughter-in-law Becky Sonnier; her grandchildren, Skye Sonnier and Chase Sonnier; and her brothers-in-law, Isaac Migues and Claude Gonsoulin.
She is survived by: her sons, Troy Sonnier, Todd Sonnier (Donna) and Teddy Sonnier (Ngan); her siblings, Earline Migues, Elverse Babineaux (Patsy), Margaret Gonsoulin and Gayle Prados (Allen); her grandchildren, Dustin Sonnier, Blake Sonnier (Jesika), Brance Sonnier (Shawna), Meagan Montet (Marcus) and Kim Sonnier; her great grandchildren, Izzy, Tucker, Noah, Cullen, Ali, Skylyn and Kai; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Karsyn, Embri and Drake; and her daughter-in-law Dina Champagne Sonnier.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to offset expenses.
