It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet Babineaux Shea of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on July 23, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harriet Babineaux Shea to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alcée Babineaux and Aline Babineaux; her siblings, Andrew, Lawson, Louis, Pierre Babineaux, Angelle Freeman, Vivian Myers, Elsie Broussard, Verna Patout, Georgie "Joyce" Indest and Martrine Gastineau; her son Steven Shea, Sr.; her granddaughter Allison Shea; and her great grandchildren, Andrew and Katherine Shea.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Shea, Jr. (Beverly), Mary Shea Zaunbrecher (Russell), James Shea (Virginia), Kelly Shea Holleman (James) and Ellen Shea Mullen (Greg).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church - New Iberia (2514 Old Jeanerette Rd, New Iberia, LA 70563).
