It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Percy Jude Bonnett Sr. of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Bonnett and Edith Mathier Bonnet; and his siblings, Wilson Bonnett, Calvin Bonnett, Raymond Bonnett, Henry Bonnett, Savannah Bonnett and Mary Gladys Davis.

He is survived by : his wife Charlene Bonnett of Saint Martinville, LA; his son Percy Bonnet Jr. of New Iberia, LA; his grandson Javonta Smith; his stepchildren, Felton Smith of Saint Martinville, LA, Gabriel Smith of Saint Martinville, LA, Shanice Smith of Saint Martinville, LA, Shareeka Smith of Saint Martinville, LA and Lakayra Smith of Saint Martinville, LA; his siblings, Clifton Bonnet (Vickie) of Sorell, LA, Cassius Bonnett (Karen) of Coteau, LA, Michael Bonnett (Tawanna) of Loreauville, LA, Adam Bonnett (Laura) of New Iberia, LA, Catherine B. Vital of Loreauville, LA, Mary Mitchell (Jeffery) of Loreauville, LA, Edith Anita Bonnett (Joseph) of Loreauville, LA and Lillian Bonnett (Trent) of Loreauville, LA; and his godchild Lameka Simon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
