As Alfred departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Alfred. Though Alfred may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Jefferson Cooper (Marion Brown Cooper) and Alfred Don Cooper Sr.; and his brothers, John Earl and Billy Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Alfred Don Cooper, III (Linda), Edwin Cooper (Patrice), John Cooper (Tanaka) and Dr. Maychelle Cooper Rodney (Olia); his niece Allegra Matthews; and the mother of his children Ruby Watkins. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Westbank United Seventh Day Adventist Church (2401 General Meyer Ave #1540, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
