She was predeceased by: her parents, Linzy Hayes and Ethel Hayes; and her brother Linzy. She is survived by: her husband David Tate Sr.; her brother Robert Hayes Sr. (Dorothy); her parents-in-law, Ozzie, Evelyn Hayes, Geraldine Leverette and Charles Tate (Myrtis); her children, David Jr. (Chandra), Carla Tate Ward (Rickey), Crystal and Charles Sr. (Chenell); her siblings, Edward (Dorothy), Walter (Shirley), Joseph (Mary), Willie, Melvin (Iretta), Warren Hayes and Ethel White (Charles); her parents-in-law, Horace Tate Sr. and Georgia Turner Tate; her brother-in-law Horace Jr. (Jane); and her granddaughter Tamika Tate Clerk. She is also survived by grandchildren, five (5) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Due to covid-19 pandemic attendance will be limited. It is mandatory everyone entering the mortuary wear a face mask or some type of face covering.
