She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Horn and William Horn Sr.; her son Troy Stewart; her siblings, William Horn Jr., Raymond Ambrose Sr. and Patricia Irvin; her siblings-in-law, Joyce Ambrose and Cedric Stewart; and her aunts, Rosalie Holmes and Lucy Mae Pauline.

She is survived by: her children, Antoinette, James Jr., Avris Stewart, Denise Youngblood Sr. (Gerald), Cheryl and Dione Stewart; her siblings, Ernie Horn, Lena Clay (Phillip), Brenda Clavo (Nathan), Gail Stewart, Nathalie Simmons (Kirk), Rosalie and Donald Horn; and her cousin Janice Pauline. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gentilly Baptist Church (5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
