He was predeceased by: his child Caprice Anderson; his grandchild Kerry, Jr.; his parents, Douglas, Sr. Anderson and Albertha Ruffin Anderson; his brother Charles Wilson; his grandparents, Phillip, Sr., Theresa Anderson, Henry, Sr. and Josephine Felo Ruffin; and his sisters-in-law, Rev. Elizabeth Turner and Janice Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Trenise A. Spears (Kerry, Sr.), Denise A. McMillian (Kenneth), Alana, Rolanda, Tessa, Chassidy and Douglas, III Anderson (Crystal); his grandchildren, Michael, Damien, Chaurice, Joshua, Jaronay, Bria, Kevin, Jr., Kameron, Kamal, Hyran, Kinnidy, KayLynn, Demin, Charm and Rylee; his great grandchildren, Shai and J'aire; his siblings, Alcide, Calvin, Herbert (Trudy) and Bobby Anderson; his godchildren, Devani, Jammon and Vernell; his aunts, Viola and Alberta Ruffin; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Tyson (Larry), Veronica Ward (Ron), Craig Stevenson and Steve Turner; his cousins, Donald Baldwin, Anthony Richard, Rev. David Richard and Larry Anderson; and his friends, Michael Mosley and Lionel Garrison.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Second Good Hope Baptist Church (800 Elmira Ave, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the St. Joseph Baptist Church Cemetery.
