We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2024, Evelyn Butler of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her son Warren Butler; her parents, John Simmons and Flossie Simmons; and her siblings, John Jr., Warren, Charles L., James, Allen, Billy Simmons, Shirley May Dorsey, Barbara Minor, Mary Jane Harrell and Doris Green.

She is survived by : her children, Anthony Williams III, Flossie Williams and Tyrone Butler Sr. (Tasha); her stepsons, David and Larry Butler; her brother Rev. George T. Simmons; and her grandchildren, Jason Jesse, Anthony Staves, Michael, Mynisha Hardin, Leonta Barrow, Tyrone Jr., Tyrese, Ty'René Butler, Wardisha, Warrenisha, Warren and Devonte Barnes. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
