He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene and Gumersinda of Jesus Doubleday; and his brother Eugene Doubleday, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Angus Doubleday; his children, Deborah O'Shea (Joseph), Elizabeth Doubleday, Jennifer Provenzano (Louis, Jr.) and Gilbert R. Doubleday, Jr.; his sister Myrna Gemell; and his grandchildren, Megan, Michael O'Shea, Simon and Brooke Provenzano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
