With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmy Austin Whitehead of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chappie Whitehead and Audrey B. Miller; his brothers, Danny Whitehead, Noel Christopher Whitehead and Rickey Jackson; and his nephew Timothy W. Russell Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Ann Gautier Whitehead; his children, Jimmy Austin Whitehead II, Samantha Crawford, Brionne Marie Whitehead (Kymuan) and Justin Michael Whitehead (Tamia); his grandchildren, Kyron, Gia and Kru; his siblings, Dale Whitehead, Vickie Russell (Timothy), Cathy Kendrick (Derek), Ebb Jackson Jr. and Sierra Whitehead; his aunt Doris Audine Hardy; and his siblings-in-law, Thaddeus, Dennis, Warren and Germaine. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Greater Grace Fellowship (5481 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
