He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Wirth, Sr. and Marie Guillory Wirth; and his wife Jean Macaluso Wirth. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jeanne Gallagher (Shawn), Joseph H. Wirth, III (Suzanne) and Juliette Glaviano (David); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Carson), Ryan (Amy), Collin (Camryn), Patrick, Kevin (Nataly), Alexandra, Kathryn and Joseph; and also, Henry Wirth and Lord.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mary Catholic Church (400 Verret St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A Mass was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Metairie Cemetery (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jesuit High School.
