With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karlene West Hickham Dunagin in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 15, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert West and Verda West; her former husband David Hickham, Sr.; her husband Ralph Dunagin; her brother Bobby; her sister-in-law Billie Sue West; and her parents-in-law, I. W. and Inez Hickham.
She is survived by: her children, David Hickham, Jr. (Lisa) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Julia Bourque (Chuck) of Houma; her stepdaughter Terry Dunagin (Debbie) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.; and her sister Judy Roberts.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church (243 Barrow St, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please send donations in Karlene's memory to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church or School, Vandebilt Catholic High School or to a charity of your choice.
