He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Rose Newton; his parents, Lawrence Alvin Newton Sr. and Lillian E. Connerly; and his brother Warren Newton. He is survived by: his children, Keith (Barbara), Dale, Darren Newton (LeRoyce), Leslie Morgan (Keith), Donna Adams (John), Lawrence III (Lisa), Quinn, Chris, Corey and Lance Newton (Christina); and his brother Jerome Newton (Douglas). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and his beloved dog.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Church (7300 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (7300 Crowder Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127). A burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (4000 Norman Mayer Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122).
