It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Joseph Pierre Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Louis Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olivia George and Louis Pierre, Sr.; and his children, Cheryl Pierre and Irvin Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Pierre; and his children, Yolanda, Monique, Dwight and Warren. He is also survived by siblings; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ray Avenue Baptist Church (4712 Ray Ave, New Orleans, LA 70126). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
