It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orelia Richard Haynes of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Nellie Richard; her son Darryl Corley; and her sisters, Dorothy Richard, Juanita Singleton and June Richard.
She is survived by: her husband James E. Haynes Sr.; her children, Phyllis Jones (late Clem), Myra Jefferson (Gregory) and James E. Haynes Jr. (Donna); her grandchildren, Denchelle Haynes, Gregory Jefferson Jr. (Shahalynni), Latoya Walter (Eric), Patrick Martin, Patsy Martin, Paul Martin, James E. Haynes III, Andrew Haynes and Anthony Haynes; and her sister Brenda Turner (late Elmo). She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
