Though Peter Butler may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Peter Butler leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mitchell Ives, Sr. and Dorothy Butler Ives; his brother Charles Mitchell Ives, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Mary VanDenburgh Ives. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Reilly Ives; his sons, Peter Butler Ives, Jr. of New Orleans, LA and Clay Mitchell Ives (Katie) of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sister Dorothy Debi'Ives Dupuy (Peter). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Peter's name to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
