It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Estel Brandhurst Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Estel and Ned "Sookie" Brandhurst; his siblings, Elaine Brandhurst, Carolyn Mauffrey and Richard Brandhurst; and his daughter Nan Brandhurst Orgeron.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Brandhurst (Lori) and Tiffany Brandhurst; his siblings, Ray Brandhurst (Kay) and Barbara Bordelon; and his grandchildren, Michael, Cody, Brooke, Brandi, Hunter, Hayden and Ryan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
