Schmidt; her stepdaughter Nicole Bertrand Robb; her godson DeMarco T. Campbell; her siblings-in-law, Gillian Knowles-Jones (Morris), Ann Patrice Bertrand, Laverne Bertrand Williams, Cheryle Bertrand Rivera and Gaynel M. Bertrand; her cousins, Tizona Watts (Darrell), Olivia Chase, Nona Ocloo, Diane Baker, Taalib, Lisa, Aliyah El Amin, Althea, Deborah Holt, Kim Cross, Kezia Lasha, Ruby Simon, John Louis, Stacy Louis Morris (Lance), Whittona Jones, Karl Stockman, Marion, Victor, Yvonne Shine, Joan Carey, DeMarco Campbell and Dashan Rogers; her siblings' children, Robert Williams Jr., Kevin (Germaine), Anyelle Williams, Kemba White Dupree (Camara), Norma, Earsly Larvardain, Tyrone White, G. Maris, Giani M. Jones, Joshua (Nicole), Darrell Jr. (Melanie), Brandon Watts (Analeshia) and Sonya Sonia; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Mykel (Ryan), Angel, Royce, Cameron, Cameron Jr., Anthony, Camara Jr. "CJ", Imari, Zain, Ronniesha, TreNae, Esmarelda, Januel, Yasiela, Jaxon, Wesley, Abra, David, Mya and Malik. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church (5276 Bullard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70127).
