She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Matthews and Mary Matthews; and her siblings, Geraldine Ernest and Peter Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Sandra D. Peabody (Michael), Mary Davenport Henry (late Byron), Sharon D. Brooks (Corey) and Youzette D. Edwards (Desmond); her grandchildren, Oscar Peabody Rene Jackson, Raven Jackson, Nicholas Edwards, Noel Edwards, Te'Darryle Davenport, Nathaniel Edwards and Ralph Martin, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Barbara Pierson. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Davis Mortuary Service (6820 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
