He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Bamburg and Iva Lee Bamburg; his brother Billy Bamburg; his granddaughters, Connie Elizabeth Regina Thompson and Melissa Hopkins; and his close friends, Mitch Crawley, S. M. Tams and A. C. Egloff.
He is survived by: his wife Mamie Bamburg of Newellton; his children, James C. "Tiger" Bamburg, Jr., Denise of Winnsboro, Connie Bamburg Brady of Newellton, Shirley Bamburg LaBorde of Wisner, Virgil Fussell, Jr., Corene Hankins (Ernie) of Newellton, David Fussell, Sr., Brenda of St. Joseph, John Fussell, Sr., Annette of Newellton and Rachel Wilber (James) of Denham Springs; and his sisters, Mary Lee Secrest of Newellton, Yvonne Galloway of Winnsboro and Flo Arnold of Crowville. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (1287 LA-4, Newellton, LA 71357).
