It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Aimee Carmouche Salemi of Norco, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 3, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband John Joseph Salemi, Jr.; her son Gregory Charles Salemi; and her parents, Yola Marie Cambre Carmouche and Chanel Pierre Carmouche. She is survived by : her children, David Gerard Salemi (Vernelle "Beanie"), Beverly Ann Salemi, Jon'nette Cheek and John Joseph Salemi, III (Florence); and her siblings, Mildred Price (Louis Lagarde), Beverly Lousteau, Ronald Carmouche and Louis Carmouche (Terrel Carmouche). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457.
