He was predeceased by: his wife Alma Catherine Sanders; and his siblings, Huel Sanders, Norman Sanders and Earnestine Crawford Thompson. He is survived by: his sons, Matt Darrell Sanders of Oak Grove, LA, Alan Brett Sanders (Rebecca) of Vidor, TX and Duane Sanders (Laurie) of Tumbling Shoals, AR; and his grandchildren, Dusty Sanders, Jason Lynn Sanders, Melissa Sanders, Alan Dean Sanders, James Ronald Sanders, Ariel Alcantar, Alyssa Riley, Amber Webber and Ansley Sanders. He is also survived by grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown-Holley Funeral Home (10324 LA-17, Oak Grove, LA 71263). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
