He was predeceased by : his parents, David Emmons and Velma Emmons. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Nichols Emmons; his children, Connie Cook (Chris) of Vivian and Kevin Dumas of Hosston; his sister Brenda Crosby of Oil City; his nephew John Burns; and his niece Cindy Parker.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gorsulowsky Funeral Home (1107 S Pine St, Vivian, LA 71082). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
