Deacon Harold Joseph Burke Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deacon Harold Joseph Burke Jr. of Pearl River, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Sr. Burke and Barbara B. Burke; his in-laws, Edwin and Sandy Barrios; and his brother-in-law Benjamin Dew II.
He is survived by: his wife Leah Barrios Burke; his siblings, Raymond Burke (Nancy), Eileen Dew, Mary Bates (Gary) and Sharon McMahon (Joseph); his children, Kelly Corkern (Jimmy Jr.), Kasey Walker (Robert) and Donovan Burke (Brigitte); his grandchildren, Brittany Scafidel (Jonathan), Bo Corkern (Jenna), Brandi Corkern (Jake), Michael, Robin, Liam and Connor Burke; and his great grandchildren, Ruari Scafidel, Emilia Corkem and James Corkern. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden (450 Holy Trinity Dr, Covington, LA 70433).
