With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucien Maurice Provosty of Pearl River, Louisiana, born in Alexandria, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his brothers, LeDoux R. Provosty Jr., William "Buck" Provosty, Albin A. Provosty and James "Van" Provosty. He is survived by: his children, Lucien Maurice Provosty, Gerald Pratt Provosty (Nicole) and Mary Mills Provosty Lambert (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jean Maurice "Timo" Provosty (Megan), Elise Michelle Provosty, Alexandre Pratt Provosty, Nicholas Theodore Provosty and Eugenie Reese Provosty; his great grandchild Miller Adeline Provosty; and his sisters, Miriam Provosty Fritchie, Mary Adele Baus and Jeanne Provosty Buffat. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461).
