She was predeceased by : her husband Anthony "A. J." Laurent, Jr.; her parents, Eddie Vicknair and Selma Landry Vicknair; and her siblings, Eddie "Buddy" Vicknair, Jr., Earl Vicknair, Joy LeGrange, Marilyn Toups, Valerie Simpson and Iris Poret.

She is survived by : her children, Ed Laurent (Donna), Mark Laurent (Christina), Theresa Duhon (late Clark Duhon) and Linda Laurent (Kent Lynn); her grandchildren, Denton Laurent, Vanessa Laurent Walker (Brian), Adelaide Laurent, Theresa Orgeron (Roddy), Anna Krell, Brittni Yesso and Larry Lasseigne; her great grandchildren, Desiree Laurent, Blaytn, Bailey Evers, George and Elisa Walker; and her sister-in-law Liz Davis (Sam). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Baton Rouge Food Bank or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
