We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2023, at the age of 91, Ethel Mae Butler of Plaquemine, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilson James, Sr. and Emily Dempsey James; her husband Clarence; her siblings, Helen Johnson, Katherine Becnel, Martha Bell Whaley, Mary Ann James, Emily Taylor, Gladys Jones, Jeanie James, Louis James, Sr. and Edward James; and her granddaughter Jada Nicole Butler.

She is survived by : her close friend Clarence Butler, Sr.; her children, Dana Butler-Coachman, Debbie Tillman (Leonard) and Clarence Butler, Jr. (Sharon) of Henderson, NV.; and her brothers, Wilson James Jr. of Plaquemine, LA, Allen James of Brooklyn, MS and Wayne Joseph James (Deborah) of Rio Vista, CA.. She is also survived by her family but especially for her children and grandchildren.
