It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Yvonne Marie Gaudin Palermo of Plaquemine, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Peter Palermo; and her parents, Duffy Gaudin and Philomene Gaudin (Louviere). She is survived by : her son Rev. Jason Palermo; and her siblings, Judy G. Chustz, Linda Gaudin, Gerald Gaudin (Catherine) and John W. Gaudin (Linda). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Masses in Yvonne's memory may be offered through St. Stephen the Martyr Church (Maurepas), or memorial donations may be made to the St. John School Alumni Association (Plaquemine) or St. Joseph Church (French Settlement) for the construction of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel.
