It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Galen Russell Johnson of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, who passed away on March 26, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lerline Holden and Henry Johnson; his brother Thearon Johnson; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Kolszar. He is survived by: his children, Robert Johnson (Nelly) and Nicole Johnson; his stepdaughter Meghan Helm; his grandchildren, Macye Johnson, Braydon Johnson, Kamryn Johnson, Sophia Johnson, Nyla Johnson, Nevaeh Johnson, Madison Levatino and Caden Populis; his siblings, Roger Johnson (Rose), Shearon Kolszar and Wesley Johnson; and his niece Kayla Rose Johnson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The visitation will continue the following day, Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Briar Patch Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana. Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home.
