She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar L. Bennett Jr.; her parents, Charles Gremillion and Mae Couvillion Gremillion; and her great grandchild Cooper Saia. She is survived by: her children, Mary Bennett, John Bennett (Debra) and Robin Fontaine (Darrel); and her siblings, Gaynor Gremillion and Carole Coman. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Church or School in her name.
