She was predeceased by: her husband Celestin Jones; her parents, Chester and Gladys Zerangue, Sr.; her children, Jimmy Scott, Christopher Jones and Christine Jones Fontenot; her sisters, Josephine Viney, Ethel Moss, Leonia Moreland, Theresa Major, Mary Alice Pickney and Rose M. Zerangue; and her grandson Christopher Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Chester Jones (Mazie) of Opelousas, LA, Richard Jones of Houston, TX, Leo Paul Jones of Port Barre, LA, Gladys Tyler of Port Barre, LA and Algue Jones of Houston, TX; her siblings, Leo Zerangue (Annie Mae) of Houston, TX, Charlotte Richard (Jimmy) of Port Barre, LA, Sandra Benson (Joe) of Houston, TX and Peggy Pollard of Houston, TX; and her godchildren, Darren Zachary of Opelousas, LA and Jo Ann Pickney of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 9 reat great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
